DIY Vintage Inspired Equestrian Napkin Rings
We’re sharing how to make DIY vintage-inspired equestrian napkin rings today!
Several months ago, my Mom and I were out treasure hunting when we found the most amazing metal horse embellishments.
They were at one of our favorite vintage jewelry booths, and I couldn’t tell if they were charms or appliques.
But the minute I saw them, I knew they would make the prettiest napkin rings.

While you might not be able to find these exact horse embellishments, I know a lot of you are going to yard sales, estate sales, and outdoor antique events, so I wanted to share how I made them in case you find something similar.
Here’s a look at how to make DIY vintage-inspired equestrian napkin rings.

Napkin Ring Supplies:
- Horse Embellishments (vintage)
- Napkin Rings (in Matte Gold)
- Rust Oleum Spray Paint in Champagne Bronze
- Gorilla Glue Heavy Duty Strength Clear Grip
Napkin Ring Steps:
Gather your supplies.

I’m gifting these DIY vintage-inspired equestrian napkin rings as a set.
So, my first step was to lightly paint both the napkin rings and the horse embellishments using Rust-Oleum Champagne Bronze in a well-ventilated area.
Be sure to read and follow all the manufacturer’s instructions.
Next, I allowed the spray paint to dry completely.

Then, in a well-ventilated area, I secured the horse embellishment to the napkin ring with Gorilla Glue Heavy Duty Strength Clear Grip.
Again, be sure to read and follow all the manufacturer’s instructions and safety precautions.
I waited 24 hours before handling these DIY vintage-inspired equestrian napkin rings as per the manufacturer’s instructions.

All in all, I’m excited about the way these came together.
They could not have been easier.

And even though I’m gifting these, it makes me excited that treasure hunting season has officially arrived.
Let us know what you’re crafting this season or hoping to find on the treasure trail!
