Festive DIY Valentine’s Day Pajamas
We’re sharing a quick and easy way to embellish festive DIY Valentine’s Day pajamas.
Recently I was in Hobby Lobby and couldn’t get over how many people were already shopping for Valentine’s Day home décor and gift basket items.
The aisles were packed!
So, I thought I would share a super simple DIY for those of you who want to plan early or craft holiday inspired projects in advance.
The exciting thing about these Valentine’s Day pajamas is that you can easily customize them with a variety of iron on patches.
In addition, you can use this same idea to craft other holiday inspired pajamas, to make milestone birthdays memorable, celebrate trips with your besties, bridal parties or for fun family sleepovers.
Honestly, the sky’s the limit.
Here’s a look at how to make quick and easy festive DIY Valentine’s Day pajamas.
Festive DIY Valentine’s Day Pajamas…
DIY Valentine’s Day Pajamas Supplies:

- Cotton Pajamas (we bought these 100% cotton from Amazon in the color A9 Red. There are lots of other color options to choose from as well as short and long pant versions)
- Iron On Heart Patch (we bought this one from the seasonal section of Michaels)
- Iron
- Ironing Board
- Towel
DIY Valentine’s Day Pajamas Steps:
Gather your supplies.
I’m using 100 % cotton pajamas.
They come in a variety of colors and have pockets.
Be sure to read and follow all the instructions on the back of your iron on patch.
First, preheat your iron to the cotton setting and turn the steam option off.
Next, peel the sticker backing off your iron on patch to reveal the adhesive.
Position your patch right side up and press firmly.
I placed this heart patch on the pocket of my pajama top.
Cover the patch with a cloth and press firmly on the iron for 10-15 seconds or as per the instructions that came with your patch.
As always use caution and care as the iron will be hot.
Next, turn the pajama top inside out.
Place the cloth over the patch and press firmly for 20-25 seconds or as per the instructions that came with your patch.
Let the iron cool for 30-40 seconds.
Further, check to see if your patch is fully adhered.
If not, place the cloth back over your patch and press firmly for an additional 20-25 seconds or as per the instructions that came with your patch.
Consequently, allow your patch to adhere completely and wait at least 72 hours before wearing or handling.
Once you’re ready to launder, be sure to hand wash.
