From the Front Porch

Happy Friday from the front porch! We hope your week has been a special one. Thanks so much for making us a part of your day.

As we’ve been traveling in and out of small towns this month, I’ve been constantly reminded of the art of showing up.

Not just to support the local shop, restaurant, and business owners but also learning how to best show up for yourself and the people in your circle.

You might feel led to show up with an invitation for a coffee date, to share a meal, to change a tire, or by offering someone heaps of grace when they’re having a bad day.

Sometimes showing up means coming up with a plan to lighten someone’s load with gifts of service, an “I saw this and thought of you” gift, or the gift of knowing when to sit quietly and listen.

While you might not be celebrating a small-town summer, now is a great time to think about your best gifts and how you can use them to sow seeds of love and encouragement into others.

It doesn’t have to be anything big or grand.  It just has to come from the heart.

  2. I know I say it all the time but I love these posts! I always find new things and go diving down rabbit holes. HAHA. I just made shrimp cakes this past week and they were so good! I highly recommend them. We served them with lemon aioli. And then made sandwiches with the leftovers the next day. YUM. Definitely going to be on rotation this summer.
