Quick & Easy Summer Lavender Basket

Today, we’re sharing a quick and easy Summer lavender basket which literally took only around 5 minutes to put together from start to finish.

It was so effortless I almost didn’t even bother sharing a post about it.  But then I realized there’s never been a better time for a simple summer slowdown than right now.

A few weeks ago, my sweet niece called to see if we could have a play date and craft.  I bought her a tie dye kit as one of her graduation presents and she was itching to use it.

We don’t live in the same town, so having time with her always takes a bit of wrangling.  Despite having piles of projects and a long to-do list I needed to complete, I knew I had to find a way to make time for her request.

She’s almost in middle school and every second we have with her is a treasure.

After crossing out most of the non-essential items on my to-do list, I realized I had about 10 minutes before I needed to pick her up for our weekend together.

If you had a chance to read this post, you know 10 minutes might not seem like a very long time, but we’ve been really inspired to give it a chance lately.

Truthfully, this quick and easy summer lavender basket is so simple, you really don’t even need 10 minutes to put it all together provided you have all the materials needed.  That said, I was also pleasantly surprised at how much this arrangement made in our cottage inspired summer entry.

Here’s a look at how you can create a Quick and Easy Summer Lavender Basket too…

Quick and Easy Summer Lavender Basket Supplies:

  • Basket
  • Lavender wreath
  • 3-4 faux dill bushes (these are from Hobby Lobby)
  • 5-8 lavender stems (these are from Hobby Lobby)
  • Plastic bags (optional)
  • Burlap sack or material (optional)

Quick and Easy Summer Lavender Basket Steps:

Gather your materials.

Place plastic bags in the bottom of the basket to give the faux dill and lavender something to stand on.

Then use the piece of burlap to cover the plastic bags.

Next, place the lavender wreath directly over the basket and allow it to rest on the rim.

Add the faux dill bushes.

The number of dill bushes you need will depend on how wide your basket is so feel free to pack them in as heavy or as light as you want.

Then add the faux lavender stems.

Enjoy!

This quick and easy summer lavender basket can be used in the entry, as part of a simple tablescape, centerpiece or for a summer inspired vignette.

Don’t be afraid to shop the house to see if you have baskets, bushes, floral picks or wreaths already on hand – you might be able to create a similar look for free!

    1. I really appreciate it, Barb, thank you! This summer basket was super easy to put together. Despite living on 3 acres of mostly pine and oak trees we still struggle with allergies. Thankfully, we have a little stash of real and faux flowers we try to mix together. If it were up to me though, I would have all kinds of real flowers from gardenias to roses to peonies all over the house 🙂 Sending you hugs and hoping you are well, CoCo
