From the Front Porch: Spring Basket Ideas

Hello, from the front porch sweet friends and welcome to the spring basket edition of this weekly series.

Thanks so much for being here and for making us a part of your day!

This week has been a fun one.

We were able to spend the day with my Mom who is recovering well from surgery.

She still has at least 3 weeks left of taking it easy, which probably feels like a lot to her, but is exciting to us because it gives us more time to be with her.

I can’t wait until she has enough energy to go treasure hunting at Renningers.

It’s going to be such a sweet and memorable milestone.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s reached out and checked on her. It’s extraordinarily kind and greatly appreciated.

We’ve been working on a 6-week challenge that I’m excited to share with you next week.

In other news, work continues at Loblolly, my childhood home, which was damaged by Hurricane Helene last September.

The roof, drywall and ceilings are all set to be officially completed this week, and fingers crossed we’ll be entering the paint and new windows phase soon.

Once the inside has been put back together, we’ll be able to paint the outside.

It’s been a hot debate, but I think they’ve narrowed it down to either Revere Pewter or Repose Gray with white trim and black shutters.

While I’m thankful we’ve gotten this far, it never ceases to amaze me just how long it takes to recover from a hurricane.

Our goal is to be finished before the next hurricane season begins on June 1st.

I’ll share a full update once everything is settled!

Finally, my adorable nephew skipped a day of school to attend the TPC with my Dad only to be outed by NBC Sports 😂

Seeing the two of them on tv making memories had me all kinds of teary in the best possible way.

We had an amazing grandfather, and it makes me so excited that the littles are having that experience too.

All which is to say, hug your people, take the selfie, eat the ice cream, go on the rollercoaster, wear the shorts, and be ready for anything because you truly never know what kind of random blessings or adventures will be placed on your path from one day to the next.

Wishing you a memory making weekend!

  • Dress (this dress comes in lots of pretty colors and would be great for Easter)
  • Hydrangea Pillow Cover (considering these budget friendly pillow covers for a bedroom makeover)
  • Perfume Mist (currently in my cart and could become my signature scent this summer)
  • Sneakers (love the green detail on these sneakers)
  • Scalloped Tray (hoping to use this in a room makeover as well, just not sure about the color yet)
  • Dress (a simple summer dress that can be worn with sneakers or sandals)
  • Tassel Pillow Cover (these are budget friendly and come in lots of beautiful colors as well)
  • Sunscreen (this budget friendly sunscreen is easy to apply and has a light beach scent)
  • Hat (hoping the Easter bunny puts this in my Easter basket this year)
  • Rug (have and love this rug in 2 rooms and considering a 3rd. The wrinkles came out after resting a day and it’s easy to clean too)
  • Maxi Dress (this would be pretty with a jean jacket or cardigan on chilly nights)
  • Block Print Pillow Cover (another pillow cover option we’re considering for the bedroom)
  • Loafers (these come in lots of colors including a festive pink)
  • Notebook (I’ve been reminding myself all week I don’t need another notebook but how cute is this one?)
  • Seagrass Baskets (great for hiding remotes and other small items)
  • Green Striped Dress (this dress comes in additional colors which is great with sneakers or sandals)

I hope you have a peace filled and happy weekend. We can’t wait to share more next week!

Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo
