Goodbye May, Hello June

I hope you guys all had a fun and rest filled weekend. We caught up on a few projects around the house, enjoyed lazy meals, Memorial Day celebrations and the Florida sun.

You guys, how fast have the past two months gone by! It’s crazy, right? We were so immersed in the One Room Challenge during April and May, I totally forgot to share a month in review post for April. I can’t even tell you how excited I am to be finished with the office makeover. It was like every day eating, breathing, sleeping the One Room Challenge. We spent most of April ordering materials, working on the bigger pieces of furniture and painting the room. May found us shopping for accessories, painting the barstools, the office chair, baskets and trying to stretch the budget by painting a few accessories.

It was such a great feeling to finally organize the craft/inventory closet.

I still can’t believe the way everything came together. This is a look at the office before

and after.

You guys blew me away when you crashed my website the day of the reveal and the response we got from the video was super sweet too. It’s scary to put yourself out there sometimes but you guys made me feel like a rock star. Thank you!

I worked on a few projects like the Lazy Susan Update after the One Room Challenge was finished but man, I felt creatively tanked.

I’m so thankful I had a great team helping me through it all because I was still having to shop, stock and paint pieces for my booth at The Pickers Market. I took the chalk painted metal patio set, the end table, the painted First Aid Cabin sign and a few accessories to the booth before we left for the cabin.

It was such a relaxing week and felt like a luxury to get a break.

Once we got home, my mom was able to help me give a summer refresh to a few of the rooms in the house. We’ll be working on things again this week so I’m hoping to have some finished projects to show you soon. While we were busy moving furniture, painting benches and styling china cabinets, I shared a few summer decorating tips, pieces of furniture painted in customer favorite Duck Egg and porch projects you can finish in a weekend. It’s on my summer goal list to entertain as much as possible this season so the porch and patio need to be in tip top shape.

June is definitely going to be exciting with dance recitals, graduations, birthdays and travel plans already on the calendar. Goodbye May it’s been fun, June, if you’re listening I can’t wait to see what adventures you have in store.

Many blessings,

CoCo

    From the Front Porch

I’ve had the privilege to work with a lot of smart, strong and talented ladies these past few weeks. As you know, most days I work from home so it feels really special to be surrounded by women that work extra hard to make each day amazing for their families, classrooms, patients, creatives and communities. This week I’ve been inspired by nature, blush, classy ladies and little luxuries. Here are a few things I’m loving from around the web…

It’s really hard to describe the roller coaster ride the last few days have been so I guess I’ll just start at the beginning. Early last week, we got our hurricane supply kits out to make sure everything had been restocked from Hurricane Hermine. We gassed up the cars on Tuesday night and headed to the grocery store sure the storm would miss us. Once we got home, we checked the weather report before going to bed and there was nothing more than heavy rain bands and tropical storm warnings forecasted for our area. Then Wednesday came…

  • Easy Update for an 80s Style Lazy Susan

Do you guys remember last year when wood slices were “it?” There were gorgeous wood slice projects all over the internet. They were everywhere! I was lucky enough to find this lazy susan when I was giving a woodlands themed party last year. We used it off and on when entertaining for a few months but the orange tint/tannin always bothered me. Here’s a look at how we gave an easy update for an 80s style lazy susan that’s perfect for summer entertaining.

    Hello,
Just found your FB page. Is your space on the main stree in Fernindina Beach?? I haven’t been there in a long time but I have family that lives there and use to have a shop. Funny, the name was Goats Head Soup. I guess goats are popular there:)
Love your style, hope to visit your shop soon.

    1. Thank you, Deborah! My booth is located inside of The Pickers Market which is on Alachua Street. It’s always changing which makes it a fun place to shop. Hope you’re having a great day, CoCo
