How to Make a Grapevine Wreath with Apples
There’s something about late summer and early fall that makes me want to bring a little bit of the season indoors.
The light starts to soften, the mornings feel a touch cooler, and suddenly I’m craving simple projects that make our home feel warm and welcoming again.
One of my favorite ways to ease into the season is by creating a grapevine wreath.
And this year, I’m trying one with apples.
Apples have a timeless charm, especially this time of year.
They feel nostalgic, comforting, and quietly symbolic as we shift from summer to fall.
The best part?
This wreath is incredibly simple to make.
Whether you’re decorating for back‑to‑school season, refreshing your porch, or just craving a small creative moment, this apple‑themed grapevine wreath is an easy project that adds a beautiful seasonal touch without a lot of fuss.
Here’s a look at how to make a simple grapevine wreath with apples for early fall as we team up with the fabulous ladies of the Handcrafted Society for this month’s blog hop!
How to Make a Fall Grapevine Wreath with Apples
Supplies:
- Grapevine Wreath
- Apple Floral Picks
- Additional Floral Picks (we used white hydrangea picks)
- Floral Picks with Texture
- Floral Wire
- Floral Wire Cutters
- Bow or Ribbon
Steps:
Gather your supplies.
Separate your floral picks into piles.
Next, layer your hydrangea picks (or another flower of your choice) around the grapevine wreath.
Secure the stems in place with floral wire.
As always, use caution, care, and common sense when using floral wire and floral wire cutters as they’re both sharp.
Next, add a few additional floral picks to add texture and depth to your simple grapevine wreath.
Once your flower picks are secure, layer in your apple floral picks.
Again, secure the picks in place with floral wire.
I had these floral picks in my stash from Joanns.
At the time, I only bought 4 picks, but this wreath actually needed 6 or 8 apple picks
So, keep that in mind while you’re shopping and creating.
I think the pop of color would have been more balanced for a wreath this size.
Finally, add a bow or ribbon and enjoy!
