Quick and Easy Bon Voyage Gift Bag Ideas

We’re sharing quick and easy bon voyage gift bag ideas today!

My Dad is one of the hardest people on the planet to buy for.

For one thing, he’s really content, so he doesn’t want much.

For another, he can buy himself anything he wants at any given time.

So, he’s not the type of person to wait for a special occasion to get things.

Most of the gifts I give him are practical because that’s his personality.

For example, he still talks about the hedge trimmer and mini saw I gave him a few years ago with pure delight.

Given that his birthday and Father’s Day are within days of each other, I have to get really creative with his gifts each year.

Thankfully, he’s headed on a trip soon, and I thought it would be fun to put together a bon voyage gift bag because one of the legs of the trip is a cruise.

My parents travel quite a bit and already have many travel essentials.

So, I’m going to pack these gift ideas they might not have thought of yet in an insulated cooler to make things even more practical.

Feel free to use an actual basket or a party gift bag, though.

Here are a few easy things I ordered in case you want to make a bon voyage gift bag too.

Bon Voyage Gift Bag Supplies:

  • Insulated Lunch Bag Cooler (we have this in blue too, and I think the stitching on the blue one is better. That said, it comes in a lot of other colors, collapses so it’s easy to pack, it holds a lot, and can be filled with ice and water)
  • Cruise Kit Essentials (this is a great gift for a beginner cruiser)
  • Tylenol (pocket-sized tube that doesn’t take up much space)
  • Medical Emergency Cards (great for wallets, no matter where you’re traveling)
  • First Aid Kit (a compact and budget-friendly travel must-have)
  • Water Wipes (we use these at home and when traveling, they are fragrance and alcohol free)
  • Liquid IV (a simple way to stay hydrated, the packets are small, so they’re easy to stash in pockets)
  • Night Light (a great alternative to leaving the bathroom light on all night)
  • Crewneck Sweater (one of those not too thick, not too thin sweaters for all seasons)
  • Collapsible Hangers (a simple way to grab and go in the morning or to dry bathing suits)
  • Glow Sticks (an easy way to spot your people at night)
  • Assorted Cruise Ducks (the littles said one of their favorite things was finding ducks on the boat)
  • Crinkle Paper (dollar stores)
  • Assorted Candy (dollar stores)
  • Lint Roller (dollar stores)

Whether you’re heading out on a cruise or prepping for an adventure closer to home, packing these essentials can make your trip smoother and more enjoyable.
