Summer Front Porch Tour

Today, I’m excited to share our summer inspired front porch!

You guys, it feels SO good to be back home! As most of you know, we’ve been traveling back and forth from our primary homes to my childhood home, Loblolly Manor, as we’ve worked for several months now to give the entire house a complete refresh. Our goal was to have Loblolly finished by Mother’s Day as a gift for my Mom and we were just 2 rugs, 2 chandeliers, 2 barstools and a bench shy of having it completed by that time.

While we’re waiting on those pieces, I am thrilled to be back home. This past week was the first week since the middle of March that I didn’t have to travel out of town for anything and it felt like the biggest gift.

I spent most of the week cleaning the house, catching up on a mountain of laundry, decorating for summer and prepping for our royal wedding watch party.

It took the entire week but I finally feel like we’re back on track and ready to settle in for a quiet relaxing summer season.

After working at Loblolly for so many months, I’ve become obsessed with all things lavender which was the inspiration for our summer front porch and summer home tour. The scent is just so relaxing. I recently picked up this variety of lavender to try. It’s supposed to thrive in the sun.

This variety has been growing on the porch since our spring porch tour. I love how whimsical and wild they look.

In addition to Lavender, we’ve planted Gardenias,

Purple Salvia,

Dusty Miller, and

White Lantana.

We’ve had these succulents growing in these pots for about a year now. I’m hoping to transplant them soon into something much bigger soon. It’s going to be a fun summer project.

I borrowed the front door basket from my Mom. She has the best stuff!

I met my Mom for a bit of shopping and lunch last week. It was totally low key compared to our Loblolly shopping trips which was a fun change. We didn’t even bring a list ha ha.

She helped me pick out a few things for the lavender inspired summer home tour like this lightweight blanket. I made the pillows over the weekend. You’ll see this pretty lavender gingham check all over the house in our summer home tour.

I also made these cute wedding cake cookies for our royal wedding watch party over the weekend. We were up at 4 am soaking in all the coverage. I think we ate way too much that day.

We tried to balance out all the sugar out with mint and cucumber water. We keep a drink station just like this inside too.

It makes drinking water so much easier!

We spend a lot of time out on the front porch especially in the summer watching the dogs play or tending the flowers while the littles are curled up on the couches visiting.

By the looks of this picture, I think it might be time for me to get a “plant lady” tee shirt he he.

Summer is one of our favorite seasons and this year, it promises to be full of simple pleasures.

See you guys back here tomorrow. I’ll share how we created those delicious blackberry sundaes! Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo
