Quick and Easy Valentine’s Day Garland
Where sharing how to make a quick and easy Valentine’s Day garland and a simple Valentine inspired breakfast idea today!
Whenever I think about celebrating a festive Valentine’s Day, I’m almost immediately transported back to my fourth-grade classroom.
My teacher was absolutely amazing.
But she was also pretty no-nonsense.
So, you can imagine our complete surprise when we walked in the classroom on Valentine’s Day and realized we were in for an extra special treat.

Big red heart shaped boxes with our names on them had been placed on each desk.
Our reading nook had been transitioned into a post office where we took turns “processing mail” throughout the day.
And accordion style paper heart fans and cheerful garlands hung from every corner of the room nearly covering the ceiling.
In addition, we did our schoolwork with Valentine themed pencils and my teacher read us stories about St. Valentine as we glittered paper hearts to take home.
Plus, we had cupcakes, cinnamon bears, conversation hearts, salty chips and chocolates.
Undoubtedly, it was a true delight.

What I remember most about that day was not only how she went out of her way to make us feel extra special, but how my teacher transformed an ordinary classroom into a festive event space with simple decorations.
So, it’s in her honor I wanted to share these quick and easy ideas.

Use the ribbon strips to make a bow in between the hearts.

Hang and enjoy!

Valentines Inspired Breakfast:
Since I hung the Valentine’s Day garland in the breakfast nook, I thought it’d be fun to share a simple Valentine’s inspired breakfast idea too.
Use a protein pancake as your base.

Then add Greek yogurt and strawberries.

Layer chia seeds,

granola, and walnuts on top of the strawberries.
Drizzle a bit of honey if you like and enjoy!

I know we all have full lives but I hope you’ll take the time to celebrate the things that are most important to you this year.
Even if it’s in a small way.
Life goes by so fast we may as well make it a festive adventure.

This is so sweet! It’s so neat to think of the little things that stand out in our minds.
On a different note, I used your idea with the tackle boxes last year, and the girls loved them! They were a big hit!!
Aww I’m so excited to hear that, Susan. They’re definitely fun to make. We use them all the time! Big hugs, CoCo
Adore these quick and easy Valentine’s ideas! The paper garland is cute by itself, but adding the bows is such a sweet touch! I’m amazed how adding a few ingredients can take pancakes to a new level and make them special for a holiday! Thanks for the inspiration!
