2016 Holiday Gift Guide

I hope your Thanksgiving was amazing! I’m at present wearing my yoga pants, exited to see some friends for a bonfire later tonight, eat yummy leftovers and make s’mores. Did you guys go out shopping early this morning? I gave it up a few years ago in favor of relaxing with a steaming cup of coffee, enjoying time with family and scrolling through my favorite websites. In the past we had to wait for Cyber Monday deals but it seems like this year there are deals everywhere.  Amazon is offering new Cyber Monday deals starting today, adding new items for up to 75% off every five minutes so make sure you check out their “Deal of the Day” page.  Also, check your inbox if you haven’t alrleady.  Mine is filled with coupons and deals going on throughout the weekend. Shopping online is way less stressful than trying to beat the crowds and ride the aisles searching for a parking space!

As some of you know, our family is placing a big emphasis on gifts of service this year. I’ll have a date with my paintbrush for one sister and a date organizing closets with the other. It’s tons of fun to think of something creative, different or interesting to give each other and we almost always have some sort of theme. We’ve had themes ranging from, “I saw this and thought of you” with no budget limit to “Happy and Homemade”. One of my brother in laws made me a hairband to keep the whispies out of my eyes while running and I still wear it to this day. He taught himself how to sew and everything. Isn’t that so sweet?

At the beginning of October, my mom starts asking us for a Christmas list because “you’re never too old for Santa.” She is so serious about this list she gives a Starbucks gift card to the person that turns the list in first. While we celebrate and give to each other throughout the year, Christmas and birthdays have always been a special time to go the extra mile and make each other feel pampered.

My sisters and I have been dubbed “the girls” our entire lives which is mostly due to how close we are in age. That being said, our personalities are completely different. If I had a dime for every time someone said, “Your girls are like night and day” to my parents, I would have retired in my early 30s. Needless to say, we do have some similarities which you’ll see below in our holiday gift guides. There are a wide range of prices and picks for all the special ladies on your list including: the girly girl, the outdoorsy girl, the preppy girl and the sweetest girl (aka your mom).
