Today we’re sharing 5 Christmas Inspiration Mood Boards to help make your planning, decorating and shopping a bit easier this holiday season!
Creating Christmas Inspiration Mood Boards
I almost saved these mood boards for the middle of the month. But then I realized when I went hunting for a few things myself just how many of the items I wanted that were already on the limited or low-quantity list.
I know some of you like to shop early for your holiday home décor because you want to make sure you have plenty to choose from. Frankly, I’m in that camp too.
Gathering Holiday Inspiration Early
As I shared in our 12 Ways to Ease into the Holidays post, it’s so much easier to get all the Christmas decorating out of the way as early as possible.
That way, you can enjoy everything the holiday season has to offer!
In creating these Christmas inspiration mood boards, I wanted to…
- Find décor items that would be easily accessible
- Budget friendly (although there is an expensive tree on the list because of the height)
- Color palettes that would be simple to change out from one season to the next or reuse from year to year
Keep in mind, you might be able to find similar items during holiday event sales or by using coupons from your favorite big box stores. Feel free to mix and match these ideas with the colors that best represent your home and budget.

Take the Pressure Off Holiday Decorating
I know there can sometimes feel like a lot of pressure to go all out, especially when it comes to Christmas decorating.
My best advice when you’re getting ready to choose a color palette or theme for your holiday décor is to use what you have first.
Then supplement with what you need by adding floral picks, bold fabrics, beautiful ribbons, and pretty packages.
Shop the House
As I’ve shared many times, our home has very little storage space. We’re constantly shopping seasonal sales or borrowing vintage items from my mom or aunts.
Remember the equestrian plates I used on our Fall tablescape? I swear that tablescape would not have looked the same without those vintage plates from my aunt!
Keep in Mind
When it comes to dressing your home for the season, think about how you want your home to feel when you walk through the door. It will help steer you in the right direction.
Particularly if you like multiple styles and are having trouble narrowing your ideas down.
I walk into the Christmas section of big box stores, love it all and then immediately become distracted by the shiny things too!
I hope these 5 Christmas inspiration mood boards have helped. Let us know how you plan to decorate this year! Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.
Many blessings,

CoCo – we are truly inspired by all of your gorgeous suggestions and ideas. It truly feels like Christmas has arrived early this year, and we couldn’t be happier. Much love!
Thank you! It really does feel like people are in the spirit of the holidays a lot earlier this year than they have been in years past which is so exciting! We both had a wild ride with the holidays last year so I can’t wait to see what this year will bring. Big hugs and lots of love, CoCo
