Fast and Easy Halloween Treat Station

Today, we’re sharing a fast and easy Halloween treat station to help you create a festive event with ease!

I’ll be honest, I don’t really like things that are spooky or scary.

Like, at all.

In fact, I can’t even tell you how many times I nearly peed my pants when I was creating the DIY Halloween Trees for the littles a few weeks ago.

I totally forgot I put spiders in the trees a few times. One morning I found a giant black spider next to the coffee pot and thought it was real.

Another time, I found one on the table and freaked out, completely forgetting I had saved a few spiders out to use in the Halloween curiosity cabinet.

The littles, of course, love it all.  They’ve put rubber mice, snakes and bugs all over the house which is in turn freaking my sister out.

The life of a boy mom, right ?

As with the Easy Halloween Decorations we created for the spooky house, our goal was to make sure this fast and easy Halloween treat station was also inexpensive, simple to make and the supplies easily accessible too.

If you’re looking to create a festive treat station but don’t have the time to bake multiple desserts, we have you covered!

Here’s a look at everything you’ll need to know about this fast and easy Halloween treat station…

Witch’s Party Hat Supplies:

  • Papier Mache Witch Hat (we bought this one at Hobby Lobby)
  • Black Spray Paint (we used Rust Oleum Flat Black)
  • White Peel and Stick Dots (we found ours in the office supply aisle at the Dollar Tree)
  • Orange Tissue Paper
  • Scissors
  • Tape or Glue

Witch’s Party Hat Steps:

While shopping in Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago, I found this papier mache witch hat on sale.

Once I got home, I spray painted the witch hat with Rust Oleum Spray Paint in Flat Black.

As always, whenever you complete these kinds of projects, you need to make sure you spray paint in a well-ventilated area.  Read the entire label for safety precautions and instructions before beginning.

While you’re waiting on the hat to dry, cut strips of orange tissue paper

and bunch one end up creating a ruffle. Set aside.

After the witch’s party hat has completely dried, add as many white dots as you like.  They’re peel and stick so you can add a lot or a little.

Then flip the hat over and tape the orange tissue paper ruffles to the rim of the hat.

Use the hat to top a tiered tray, place it on a cake stand or display it around your fast and easy Halloween treat station in another way.

Fast and Easy Halloween Treat Station Supplies:

*save time by using ready made treat from your local bakery.  We used fall themed items but you can use whatever you like best*

  • *Mini Pumpkin Spiced Cupcakes
  • Snickerdoodles
  • *Chocolate Covered Madeleines
  • *Pumpkin and White Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • *Mini Pies
  • Popcorn
  • Pumpkins
  • Black Cauldron (we bought this one at Hobby Lobby)
  • Witch’s Legs (we bought this one at Hobby Lobby)
  • Tired Tray
  • Witch’s Party Hat
  • Cake Stands or Party Trays

Creating a Fast & Easy Halloween Treat Station:

Now that you have the Witch’s Party Hat completed, it’s time to pull everything together and create a fast and easy Halloween Treat Station!

Place cupcakes at the bottom of your tray first,

then add Snickerdoodles,

and chocolate covered Madeleines.

Next, place the witch’s party hat on top of the tiered tray.

Once you have the centerpiece in place, vary the height of your other fast and easy Halloween treats on cake stands or trays.  We used mini pies

and pumpkin white chocolate chip cookies but you can use whatever treats you like best.

As far as the “bubbling cauldron” goes, we anchored the legs in a piece of floral foam, covered the foam with paper towels and then added the popcorn.

Finally, we added pumpkins and popcorn all around the base of the fast and easy Halloween treat station.  You might want to alter this set up a bit if you have curious littles or mischievous pets so keep that in mind.

This treat station is super easy to put together! It’s great because you can make it as festive or as spooky as you want.

Another bonus is you can choose the treats that best fit your party be it sweet, salty or somewhere in between.

If you’re short on time but don’t want to serve bakery items exclusively, consider baking a few things at home or asking a trusted friend to bring a signature dish.

We’re all for saving time and using short cuts wherever possible. That way, you can relax a bit and enjoy the festivities.

Let us know if you decide to try this and what kind of desserts you decide to use on your fast and easy Halloween treat station!

Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo

  1. Did you get all these treats at the same place? Thanks. I love the hat too

    1. Thank you so much, Sarah! I picked up all these treats from the same place – the Walmart bakery. While you don’t have to buy all ready made treats, if you’re running out of time it definitely helps. Also, if you have a local bakery you like better you can always get with them to create a custom menu. Hope this helps! Hugs, CoCo

    1. Ha ha I was SO happy to deliver all those bugs and spiders to the boys! They were beyond excited to start scaring their mom with them 🙂 She said they would hide around the corner and giggle while she was caught off guard with bugs and snakes. Thankfully, they’re only 4 and 8 so hearing the squealing is their favorite part. Sending you hugs for a happy week,
