From the Front Porch

Happy Sunday from the front porch.  Thanks so much for spending time with us today!  It’s been a great week here and we hope you’ve had a fantastic week as well.

I spent most of the week working on a few upcoming projects and trying to get ahead before we start traveling again.

We’ve been out of town for one thing or another every week since Labor Day. So, I’m beyond thankful to have spent the entire week and weekend at home.

To celebrate I started moving furniture around, cleaning the house and doing an overall reset to prepare for the holidays.  I don’t know what it is about this time of year that makes me feel like Spring cleaning and organizing all the things.

Fall Planning & Organizing

Speaking of organizing and planning, have you picked out your 2020 calendar yet? I’ve been doing some research and I have it narrowed down to these three daily planners…

  • The Day Designer which I’ve used this year and loved because it’s so straightforward.
  • Plum Paper has an awesome planner that is seriously so customizable.  I don’t think I’ve seen a planner with so many different options.
  • The Purposeful Planner looks like it would be a great daily planner option as well.

Also, worth noting, the Cultivate What Matters team revamped PowerSheets collection for the year and included a calendar! I know! They really simplified the format and layout this year too which is I think is going to make PowerSheets much easier to use as well.

October might seem like a weird time to start thinking about planners and organizing.  Honestly though, go ahead and make a decision about a new calendar or planner now so you’ll be ready to go come January!

It’s also a great time to order any items you might need for house refresh. Especially, if you’re hosting guests for the holidays.  In addition, be thinking about cleaning services, catering/food orders and putting together your outfit for Thanksgiving too!

    1. I always love to see what kind of planner people buy each year but that’s probably the nerd coming out in me. Don’t worry, I need the 30 sneaky ways to look younger too. I swear Thanksgiving dinner always feels like eating with the paparazzi because everyone is taking photos and catching up 🙂 Love and hugs, CoCo

    1. ha ha that pin is SO me 🙂 I couldn’t be more excited to use it every day. You were sweet to bring it back for me. I noticed someone left the mini pumpkins on the table today so I will make sure they’re placed in a bag by the front door for you tomorrow. Hope you’re having a great week so far, hugs, CoCo
