From the Front Porch
Happy Friday from the front porch, you guys! We hope your week has been all that you’ve needed it to be as we embrace the last week of Summer.
I know a lot of you went back to school this week so I’m definitely sending lots of love and hugs your way as you navigate it all.
It’s been a great week here thanks to all your encouraging comments about the shed to studio office makeover. I seriously can’t thank you enough for your kinds words!
Truthfully, I was totally on the fence about pressing publish on that post because the pictures weren’t exactly pretty and we had just been handed an $1100 repair estimate for a small leak around the chimney and I didn’t want to come across as dramatic ?
I was able to take a few days to regroup, plan content for Fall, and just catch my breath from the past 6 weeks and it really helped.
Without a doubt though, your comments got me through this week and I appreciate it so much.

Watching Lately…
If you’ve been following along, my sister Jamie recently created a YouTube channel for her company Kaion Lifestyle and Fitness.
We’ve worked on 3 videos together now and while it’s totally out of my comfort zone, it’s also been a lot of fun.
Our latest video is all about one of my favorite topics on the planet, How to Get Organized!
It’s a subject I could literally talk about all day. I wish I were playing when I say, I find myself reorganizing the home decor book section at Barnes & Noble whenever I’m there. It’s like I can’t help myself. If I ever decide to retire from blogging, you can find me at the Container Store he he ?
I was so chatty at the end of the video it got cut off a bit. But embracing imperfection has basically been my life goal this year so we just went for it and published the video anyway ?
You can catch up on our first video, Decorating 101: Part 1 here and Decorating 101: Part 2 here!

I was sad to see that Minnesota didn’t get a pick that article on small towns, but it was fun to check out the ones chosen! Looking forward to reading a few of these articles on my afternoon coffee break! Enjoy your weekend, my friend! And thank you for all the wonderful inspiration this Friday morning!
Thank you so much, Christine! It was fun to see all the little towns that were chosen. Some I had never even heard of which was exciting. I know a lot of people have been doing day trips lately so I feel like people are rediscovering little towns across America all over again. Getting ready to dive into the links from your newsletter. I always love to see what you’ve been up to and I’m super excited about everything you’ve been creating lately. Big hugs, CoCo
