Quick & Easy Caramel Apple Slices

Today, we’re sharing another Fall snack or dessert idea with these quick and easy caramel apple slices inspired by one of our favorite treats.

Fall Inspiration at the Fair

Have you guys been to the fair yet? Our county fair will be here in just a few weeks and it’s always fun to go through the Ag Hall and see the animals.

Most of the time the rides totally scare me but on occasion, the littles will talk me into riding The Scrambler, The Himalayas, the swings, or the bumper cars with them.

“Just go on ‘the basic’ ones with us, ok, Aunt CoCo. We promise they’re not that bad.”

Oh man, you guys, I just can’t say no to those sweet little faces.

Even when they’re asking me to do things that are way outside my comfort zone like riding the Ferris wheel or the Gravitron ha ha.

Part of what makes going to the fair so much fun is the food, let’s be honest.

From the funnel cakes to the elephant ears to the corn dogs and the candy apples, fair food will always be synonymous with all the exciting things Fall has to offer.

The inspiration for this post came from my bestie S who loves caramel apples but hates the sticky mess caramel apples make when you try to eat them.

While I can’t relate, I’ve gotten used to it given I have to open any Christmas card that looks like it might have even an eighth of an ounce of glitter in it.

These quick and easy caramel apples slices are super simple to make and can be easily customized to fit almost any occasion.

Most of these items came from the grocery store so grab a muffin tin or a few ironstone bowls and let’s get started.

Here’s a look at all the details so you can make a batch of quick & easy caramel apple slices too…

Caramel Apple Slice Supplies:

  • Caramel Sauce (we’re using store-bought but you could easily make your own)
  • Apples (we choose Granny Smith apples)
  • Toppings (there are so many great options)
  • Container for toppings (you can use a muffin pan or small bowls)
  • Knife or apple slicer & Cutting board

Caramel Apple Slice Steps:

Step #1

Using caution and care as knife will be sharp, cut apples into slices.

You’ll want to make sure the apple slices are thick enough to dip into your caramel sauce.

You can also use an apple slicer if you have one on hand.

Step #2

Dip apple slices into the caramel sauce leaving an empty area at the bottom for a makeshift “handle.”

Step #3

Customize your caramel apple slices by adding your favorite toppings.

Now you might have someone that still has trouble with all that sweet sticky caramel goodness given this “handle” is edible.

If that’s the case, consider carefully using an apple slicer and placing a few apples in a small bowl.

Drizzle a bit of caramel sauce over the slices.

Then add your favorite toppings and enjoy!

At least this way, all the sticky will be contained, and it will feel like a caramel apple sundae. They can also use a fork and knife to make the apple slices bite-sized too.

The beauty of these simple caramel apple slices is that you can make a caramel apple dessert bar and host your family, friends, and neighbors for a quick and easy snack before heading out on a Fall adventure.

Let us know if you have a favorite Fall dessert! Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.
