From the Front Porch
Happy Friday from the front porch you guys! How has your week been? We hope this week has been filled with beauty now that it’s officially Spring!
I picked up a few flowers for the front porch from the garden center this week and have started adding bits of Spring to the house too. Since Easter is so late this year, we’ve been focused on choosing a simple color palette that can be easily transitioned from late Spring to Summer without too much fuss.
Here’s a peek at what you’ll see on our front porch next week…
Scenes from our week…
Our Bridal Bush was very late to bloom this year, but she’s really showing out now which makes me happy every time I open the front door. You’ll see those tiny blooms featured in an upcoming post next week too!
It’s been so hard to go through all of my different collections of ironstone and trasferware but I’m committed, you guys. I donated over 7 boxes last week and have been going through some of the linens we keep in the dining room hutch this week.
Speaking of which, all these items are headed to Bliss Barracks today. We have one more work day scheduled to finish the outdoor dining table, the side tables, and style the hutch for the buffet. After that it’s all about pulling together the details for the final reveal. Fingers crossed we’ll have everything in place by our goal finish date which is the end of March.
While we’re only about a 2-minute bike ride to the water and marsh, we’ve been shocked to see native grasses and sea oats popping up all over our front yard. The weirdest part about it is this area was the hardest hit during Hurricane Irma.
