From the Front Porch

Happy Wednesday from the front porch, you guys. How has your week been? We hope you’re easing into the month of July with peace and joy.  Are you ready for the long holiday weekend? We know the 4th of July is always a fun to time celebrate being together with friends, family and neighbors.

My family usually attends an annual neighborhood bike parade party each year and the littles go bananas.  The fire department lines the street with a few of their big red trucks while the kids ride bikes decorated with red, white and blue streamers down the street.

This event usually happens in the morning before the city’s 4th of July parade so there’s always plenty of donuts and juice to go around.  After that we usually hit the beach to enjoy a sun filled day complete with packed lunch.  Later in the day (and hopefully after naps), we all meet back up and head downtown to scout out the perfect spot to watch the fireworks and enjoy a picnic dinner.

The entire day is a whirlwind but it’s always lots of fun. We haven’t really decided how we’ll celebrate this year given the past few days but we’re working on it.

TCG Housekeeping Notes…

As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly difficult week for us.  I’ve been in such a fog over the loss of our sweet Jelly Bean I’m not even sure where the time these past few days has even gone.  That said, I can’t begin to describe how much we appreciate your love and support.  It means the world to us.  I haven’t fully been able to come to grips or articulate how I feel about everything related to her passing just yet but I’m hoping to be able to soon.  Thank you in advance for the extra time to respond to comments, texts and emails.  Your grace keeps us going.  We are simply heartbroken over her loss.

Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo
