Goodbye August, Hello September
It’s so hard to believe another month is coming to an end. We’ve made a lot of progress on Loblolly Manor. I’ve spent time treasure hunting and restocking my booth. I’ve also managed to stay organized at home. Here’s a look back at how everything came together as we say Goodbye August, Hello September…
This month has been nothing like I ever expected. In my grand plans I thought I would be spending the last days of summer working on my 2015 Summer Bucket List. I thought I would enjoy the sweet taste of victory as I crossed that last item off my list. My victories this month, however, have come in a completely different form than I had imagined yet in some ways it’s been just as sweet.
I’ve been painting a lot, mostly for Loblolly Manor. There are a few things we still need to build but things are really coming together. We’re hoping to have everything totally finished by Thanksgiving. I know that seems like a long way away but time is flying by now that we’re doing the fun stuff like decorating and creating gallery walls. We still have to install the kitchen island and my Dad has to build the dining room table. There are couches and chairs to be ordered and the laundry room needs to be finished too. We’re making great progress though. Here are a few things we’ve been working on this month:
In between making all those trips out of town, I was able to steal away a bit of time to paint a few new pieces of furniture, treasure hunt and refresh my booth space at The Pickers Market. I picked up a few new things at an estate sale last week. I’m hoping to share with you soon. It’s totally my favorite part of the job.
Thankfully, I’ve been able to stay pretty organized despite everything that has happened. I probably would have felt like the Mayor of Crazytown had I not been able to keep it all in check.
Finally, your love, support, encouragement and kind words have made this month bearable. I’m grateful for each and every one of you.
Goodbye August, some parts have been fun. September, if you’re listening, I can’t wait to see what adventures you have in store for me!
Many blessings and happy weekend,
CoCo
