Our Website Makeover

It’s hard to believe this day is actually here. I’m beyond excited to finally be able to share with you our website makeover. It’s definitely been a long time coming!

Truth be told we’ve been working on this website makeover for a while now. I’m not even playing when I tell you every single time we would be ready to go live, something major would happen. Our work hours started really picking up. Then I had the chance to work on four different rooms at Bliss Barracks. Next, I took on the horse farm project which is pretty major (think taking down walls, all new flooring, the ceilings are being scraped, new paint throughout – hello, all hands-on deck). At the same time, I had the opportunity to start working for a design firm which is also a two-hour drive from my home.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m beyond grateful for these gifts because save for the Bliss Barracks projects they were all a complete surprise. As you can imagine they take up a lot of time and I don’t know about you but whenever I feel just the least bit stressed or overwhelmed (even when I’m cool as a cucumber on the outside) I’m all…delay, delay, delay…on the inside.

We were sitting at Cracker Barrel late last week working on Friday’s post, When Love Shows Up Hurricane Irma Style when I had an epiphany. I was watching my bestie S from across the table as she was trying to upload documents and pictures from three separate devices while simultaneously taking bites of turkey and dressing when I thought, “What are we waiting for?”

I know it doesn’t really make sense but there was something about how we had to ride around town after the storm that day looking for businesses that had electricity and food and wifi (our cell phones were spotty at best so we couldn’t use them as hot spots) that made me realize there will never be a perfect time to take the leap.

This year more than any other year, I’ve realized how life is a series of starts and stops, of beginnings and endings, of falling down and getting back up, of holding on and letting go, of dreaming and doing even when we feel tired or busy or overwhelmed. It’s my sincere hope when you visit our website or social media pages you’ll find hope and encouragement despite the messy-ness that inevitably comes with life.

From the very beginning of this blog we’ve believed when everyone gives their best gifts, magic happens. We also believe that kindness matters, in monogrammed linens, in hearty breakfasts and finding the joy in simple everyday gifts that can sometimes seem totally mundane. Be sure to check out our Philosophy Page for the complete list!

We’ve also added a section on our home page for inspirational quotes which will be updated each month. This new feature was inspired by my mom who sends us “the quote of the day” via text message almost every morning.

If you’re new or returning to the website you’ll be able to see all our blog posts by either clicking on the tab that says blog for a comprehensive gallery or by scrolling down to view our latest posts for the current week.

As always, the best way to stay in touch with all the latest is as a subscriber. You’ll receive a blog post directly in your inbox usually on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with a special behind the scenes email which is only for subscribers sent on Wednesdays.

If we’re not friends on social media yet, we’d love to connect with you. You can now find our social media icons featured throughout the website. Instagram is still our favorite, followed closely by Pinterest and Facebook.

In addition, we have a new “shop” feature where we’ve collected a list of our most asked about items so you can shop directly from that page. We will continue to update this feature as we continue update our home and portfolio. Keep in mind most of the links will be affiliate links so you’ll want to read our full disclosure policy here.

As with anything new we know there will be a few bumps in the road and more tweaking we will need to do along the way too. We thank you in advance for your patience and your constant support and encouragement. We could not do this job without you nor would we want to. You guys make this blog feel like a dream job and the best job in the world. It’s both and honor and a pleasure to spend time with each day.

See you guys back here tomorrow. I’ll share a few easy tips on how you can create a simple fall mantel. Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo
