A Cozy Bistro Table
We’re adding a cozy bistro table and chairs to the front porch today!
One of my favorite spots on our property is the front porch.
It’s where I’ve written blog posts, snuggled up on antique wicker couches to read books during rainstorms, snacked on lazy day treat towers, grew flowers in container gardens, enjoyed hours of bird songs, watched the pups play until sunset, and had countless conversations with friends and family.
It’s truly such a special place.

But last year, we started reassessing the functionality of the front porch and the back patio.
And after much thought and a few lively debates, we decided to simplify both areas.

A Cozy Bistro Table…
To make things pretty and practical, I added a cozy bistro table and chairs to the front porch.
At first, I wasn’t sure we needed an eating area on the front porch and the back patio.
Now that we’ve been using the bistro table and chairs a few weeks though, I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

All the Bistro Table Details…
As I shared above, we purchased this bistro table, and chairs set from Amazon.
They were budget friendly, relatively lightweight because they’re made of aluminum, and in my opinion, the set was easy to put together.
I put it together by myself.

For the sake of full disclosure though, I was moving the bistro table in place and scratched it on my gold belt buckle which was definitely a bummer.
The upside is that metal is easy to paint.
The downside is that it scratched so easily.

For chair cushions, I chose a 4-inch cushion to make seating for longer periods more comfortable.
They definitely make you sit up higher in the chair.

It doesn’t bother me but most of the guys in my life are over 6′ 3″ and they have to bring their plate closer to their mouth so they don’t drop food on the rug.

Speaking of rugs, the front porch is covered so I chose an indoor/outdoor rug that is pet and kid friendly.
The color and design are fantastic.
We have 2 additional rugs from this brand inside as well.
This is what it looks like in full sun.
The actual color is closer to the color of jute and sisal though.

Embracing Your Current Season…
While the front porch and back patio are still a work in progress, I think the changes we’re making will be easier to maintain for this current season of our lives.

I look forward to having breakfast on the front porch each morning, and sipping tea on the porch in the afternoon.
This cozy bistro table is a great spot for casual conversation or a quiet place to listen to a midday meditation.
And sometime soon, I’m hoping it will be a place to take a quick break from tending to container gardens and flower beds.

This looks like the perfect addition! I love the cushions. We have had a bistro set in the front for years, but it has only been decorative. If I got those adorable cushions, I might actually use the set.
What a great find! This is such a sweet table set! Enjoy your time on the porch!
