Blind Date with a Book: Halloween and Fall Edition
Earlier this year, I downloaded a copy of “This Book Made Me Think of You” by Libby Page and instantly wished I had bought a hard copy to pass along.
It’s been one of my favorite books of the year.
When I found out one of my girlfriends hadn’t read it yet, I immediately ordered her a copy and put together a book-themed care package to surprise her.
I had so much fun finding goodies to mail, I decided to use that same “Blind Date with a Book” inspiration to create a Halloween version for some well-deserving moms closer to home.
This Boo Bag meets Blind Date with a Book Halloween and Fall Edition was super easy to put together.
Let me show you how.

Blind Date with a Book: Halloween and Fall Edition…
Supplies:
- Book
- Tape or glue
- Scissors
- Pens or markers
- Gift bag or basket
- Tissue, wrapping paper, crinkle paper
- Boo flags
- Envelope or DIY pocket
- Extra goodies for the pocket, gift bag, or basket
Steps:
Gather your supplies.
First, wrap your book.

Then, create a pocket on the outside of the book using the excerpt.

Finally, add stickers, festive bookmarks, or other ephemera to the pocket.
Since this book is a mystery, I wanted to make it extra spooky by including a DIY Crime Drama Bookmark.

These Book Club bookmarks (shared below) were a great fit for other titles I’m gifting, though.

Once your book is wrapped and ready, you can gift just the book, or add a few extra items to create a Blind Date with a Book Boo Bag.

Simply place all your items in a basket or bag, add festive tissue paper, and you’re ready to gift!
