From the Front Porch

Happy Friday! How are you guys holding up? Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? I hope so. It’s been a crazy busy week this week, right? I swear it’s been like totally bananas. We’ll be hosting company later today and through the weekend so as you can imagine we’ve been working overtime to clear out the construction mess in the office and the master bedroom. I swear there are piles of stuff all over the house and we are working feverishly to get them contained! I know things will all come together because they always do but goodness gracious taking on projects like these provide ample opportunities to practice grace under pressure skills ha ha.

Scenes from my week:

*I am beyond elated I can FINALLY put my tax box back up on the shelf for another year. Does anyone else wait this late?

*Everything and I mean everything related to the business of The Goat was due this week. This is a behind the scenes shot of a photo shoot that I’ll share more about in May. I was literally taking the tripod off the kitchen counter when I realized I had 30 minutes to get ready before leaving for the tax office. Needless to say, I was rocking the “crunchy beach waves” look when I arrived with floral flats and three strands of pearls…I mean, I wanted to look like I had made some sort of effort.

*The MINUTE I left the accountants office I drove to Starbucks for a venti chai latte with almond milk. You guys…obsessed!

*Sometimes we can support one another through the toughest times with the sweetest love and never speak a word.

You can see more of my funny bloopers video from last year’s One Room Challenge Office Makeover here. If you’re short on time cut to minute 1:13 where I say “things got crazy a couple of times” after a hot minute. Clearly it had been a LONG 6 weeks ha ha!

I hope you all have a restful and peace filled weekend. Since we’re hosting company this weekend we’ll be on the go and with our toes in the sand. I’m not sure how much we’ll get done on the master bedroom or the home office makeover but we do have a plan. I’m hoping to update you on both spaces next week including how we installed board and batten in the office. It looks really good. Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo
