White Ruffled Slipcover Review

We’re sharing how to easily transform tired furniture with SureFit white ruffled slipcovers today!

Recently, I spent a few hours outside cleaning the chair and couch cushions from the living room.

It’s something we do on a regular basis anyway.

But lately, it’s become an almost weekly chore.

Mostly, due to our sweet rescue Piper who fancies herself as a big adventurer.

While we try our best to wipe her paws the minute she walks in the door, she’s still very much a terrier.

So, about a month ago, I decided to order the SureFit white ruffled slipcovers on Amazon to help easily transform tired furniture and save a little time each week.

Here’s a look at how to easily transform tired furniture with SureFit white ruffled slipcovers and how they’re working out so far…

SureFit White Ruffled Slipcovers

First Impressions:

Before washing the SureFit white ruffled slipcovers, I wanted to see how well they fit our wingback chairs.

Especially, since I knew they weren’t going to be a perfect fit based off our initial measurements.

That said, after a lot of extra tucking, they were relatively easy to install.

And as noted in many of the reviews on Amazon, they were definitely wrinkly at first.

The material is also thinner than I expected.

But not a dealbreaker because our wingback chairs are a light color anyway.

Washing the SureFit White Ruffled Slipcover:

Firstly, according to the tag and the instructions, it’s recommended you wash these slipcovers in cold water and tumble dry low.

Just for the sake of full disclosure though, mine were so large I washed them in warm water before drying hoping they would shrink a bit, and they did!

SureFit Ruffled Slipcover Pros:

  • Essential Twill 100% Cotton
  • Resists Water-Based Stains
  • One Piece Design
  • Relaxed Fit
  • Easy to Install
  • Machine Washable

SureFit Ruffled Slipcover Cons:

  • Wrinkles Easily
  • Material (a little thinner than I was originally expecting)
  • Requires Lots of Tucking

My Goal in Buying these Slipcovers:

As I shared before, my goal in buying these slipcovers was to save time each week.

Piper is 3 years old and extremely active.

So, I was looking for something that could be thrown in the wash while at the same time providing an extra layer of protection to the chair cushions in the living room.

The style of our home is French country cottage inspired making this Surefit white slipcovers a great option for the way we live.

All in all, they’re working exactly as I had imagined.

And I can’t wait to add the couch slipcover to the living room too.

Bonus, I’m thankful to be able to spend more time doing the things I love and less time scrubbing chair cushions.

Let us know your favorite way to transform tired furniture!

Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo

  1. Very helpful review CoCo. I have toyed with ordering these slipcovers in the past. We have two dogs who jump on the sofa and on our arm chair. Thank you for the links!

  2. This is a pretty slip cover. I have wondered about Surefit. My concern is having to fuss with them on a daily basis for a couch.

  3. Hi CoCo! I’m so sorry Hurricane Debby came your way! Sure are glad you are safe and have electricity now! The slipcovers look fabulous on your chairs and I can’t wait to hear how you like the couch cover because I could use one! Keeping you and your family in my prayers!

  4. That’s so pretty CoCo – perfect for your beautiful home! I bet Piper is happy about them too! 😊 Thanks for sharing – I’m inspired!

  5. The slip covers look great CoCo, thanks for your knowledge. I tried a slip cover on our sofa that was more of a duck cloth, with our pup being so active, it was always coming loose. I wonder if a thinner fabric would have less movement and stay tucked? They look great, you will have to keep us all posted. Your home looks lovely, as always. We currently have mismatched blankets on our furniture, I decided to keep the new ones covered at all times. Doesn’t look pretty, and I still have to move the afghan blanket around… the things we do for our four legged kiddos!
