From the Front Porch

Happy Friday from the front porch, you guys! I hope your week has been a fun one as we ease into the month of December.

I spent most of the week working on our end of the year checklist and trying to create little “moments” around the house.

Nothing too big or wild and crazy, just a little something to make us smile as we prepare our hearts and home to celebrate the holiday season.

A definite highlight of the week was receiving word it had snowed at the cabin early this week.

While I grieve the fact we weren’t there to see it in person, it gave us such a sweet boost of Christmas cheer. And made me want to immediately change into plaid pajamas and pull out the Santa mugs.

  • Christmas Chronicles 2
  • Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey (S wants me to preface this by saying there are a lot of music and dancing scenes ?)

So excited to carve out a bit of extra time to read our December book of the month, Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand In the Sun and Be Your Own Person. While it doesn’t have as many tips as the other books we’ve been reading, it’s going to be fun to follow along on all the adventures she encounters along the way.
