From the Front Porch

Happy first day of March, you guys. How has your week been? Are you ready to rock March like a boss? We thought so, we are too!

This week we’ve been focused on wrapping up our February goals so we can fully concentrate on cultivating March goals. If you haven’t set any goals for 2018 because it seems too overwhelming, why not just set a few goals for March? They don’t have to be anything big just something you want to accomplish this month be it personal, physical, professional or financial.

This year was the first year we were intentional about writing our goals down. I know that seems like it would be Goal Setting 101 but there’s something about having them written down so we can see them font and center every single day that has been a big game changer for us. You should definitely try it if you haven’t already.

This week has also been filled with a lot of planning as we have several projects and travel to tackle this month. Jenna Kutcher always reminds us to “Protect Your Yes,” and it’s so true! While saying no to something can certainly be hard just remember it opens the door for your best yes!

A few dates to celebrate this month…

  • March 1 – Peanut Butter Lovers Day
  • March 8 – International Women’s Day
  • March 11 – Daylight Savings Time Begins
  • March 12 – Plant a Flower Day
  • March 14 – National Pi Day
  • March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day
  • March 20 – Spring Begins
  • March 25 – Palm Sunday
  • March 30 – Good Friday
  • March 31 – Passover Begins
  • April 1 – Easter Sunday

Here’s a peek at scenes from our week…

* and this pretty wreath!

* My sister LiLi captured this photo from a fun family day filled with lots of celebration and giggles. I rode “The Music Express” with my mom and let’s just say I had to have help getting out of the car ha ha! You know you’re getting old when…. ?

* This is our last week of 15K training – high five – woot woot – we’re SO close to race day! We’re STRUGGLING through miles 5 and 6 right now. This is pretty much how I feel after all our long runs.

I can’t remember if I told you guys we have been looking to expand our outdoor living space and patio area. We’re really just in the dreaming and researching phase to be completely honest. We’ve found so much inspiration lately though it’s been fun to think about the possibility of things actually coming together. This greenhouse makeover makes me want to completely redo our “potting shed” this weekend!

I seriously can’t thank you guys enough for all of our kind words and encouragement on my video post this week.   Stepping out of my comfort zone is not always easy but you guys overwhelmed me with your sweet support and I appreciate you SO much!

I hope you have a peace filled and happy weekend. We have a great week coming up next week as we begin to share and celebrate all things Spring around the house. I’m also hoping we can sneak in brunch, a walk on the beach and a little shopping over the weekend as well. I feel like we didn’t really get a weekend last weekend so it will be nice to have a bit of a “staycation” this weekend.

Whatever you have planned I hope it’s something you’re excited about. I can’t wait to see you back here on Monday. Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,
