From the Front Porch

Happy Thursday from the front porch, you guys. How has your week been? I hope it’s been totally fabulous. Can you guys believe we’re almost at the end of March already? We can’t either!

It’s been a fun week as we’ve been working remotely from Loblolly Manor! Thanks so much to my bestie S for holding the TCG fort down! We’ve made a lot of progress on several projects which is exciting. We’re almost finished with the dining room refresh, the entry, the master bedroom refresh and the living room as well.

There are a few more things to figure out in the master bathroom, the guest bathroom, both of the guest bedrooms and the laundry room but things are coming along. None of the changes are going to be huge changes (save for the laundry room) but rather more purposeful and intentional changes to each space.

We’ll be home for Easter and then we’ll be back at it working from Loblolly off and on for the next six weeks. Our target finish date is Mother’s Day weekend. It has taken a bit of extra planning but if everything we have dreamed up comes together, it’s going to be a show stopper.

I usually get all the credit because I’m the one with the blog but let me tell ya, this blog and business would not run without the love and support of everyone that contributes to these projects. My dad who builds our wild ideas, my mom who styles everything from beds to bookcases, my bestie S who runs the website every day, my aunts that pick up supplies for us and bring us snacks, the vendors that help us source materials and all of you for your constant encouragement – we appreciate you every day!

Here’s a peek at scenes from our week…

* Is there anything better than going home again?

* I think we’ve finally found a set of matching lamps for one of the guest bedrooms, now all we have to find are the matching nightstands!

* We’re currently considering these bar stools for the kitchen island. We love the fabric and all that tack detail too.

* A new rug for the living room.

* This book has been a good one so far.

4 Strategies for Managing Your To Do List, March Goal Update, and a Video

I hope you all have a peace filled and happy weekend. We have a great week coming up next week as we begin to freshen up our homes and dive into spring cleaning and organization. On Monday, I’ll share a Spring Cleaning and Organization Task List that’s based solely on how much time you actually have to perform each task. I’m talking 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30-minute tasks you can customize to meet your schedule. Tuesday, I’ll share the daily cleaning routine that keeps our home neat and tidy every day. Wednesday, I’ll share how I gave a coastal inspired dresser a farmhouse makeover. Finally, on Thursday, I’ll share a peek at how we plan to overhaul the laundry room at Loblolly Manor. It’s another project that’s going to be all hands-on deck. Thankfully, Team Crowned Goat is fully onboard!

This weekend we’ll be celebrating Easter which we’re totally excited about. It’s one of our favorite holidays and is sure to be filled with a lot of love and laughter. It’s weekends like these that remind me of the blessings of spring, of hope and renewal. Speaking of hope, I’ve had this bluesy song from Crowder on repeat. It’s one of my all-time favorites.

Whatever you have planned I hope it’s something you’re excited about too. I can’t wait to see you back here on Monday. Until next time, I’ll see you on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.

Many blessings,

CoCo
