Our Favorite Cleaning Essentials
We’re sharing our favorite cleaning essentials today!
This is probably going to sound weird, but I love everything about cleaning.
Especially, when I’m in the zone and listening to a good podcast.
I love exploring new products and finding fresh ways to tweak our current cleaning routine to help make the week more manageable.
Truthfully, some of my best ideas have come while dusting surfaces and scrubbing toilets.
And since we all take a deep dive into spring cleaning this time of year, I thought I’d share our favorite cleaning essentials.
These products not only help us keep our home clean for the spring season, but they also help us keep our home in tip-top shape throughout the year.
Here’s a look at our favorite cleaning essentials…

Cleaning Essentials: Dusting
- Duster (with washable and detachable head – we use this all the time)
- Duster with Extender (these are great for ceiling fan blades)
- Microfiber Cloths (have helped us cut down on disposable cleaning products)
- Swiffer Dusters (my aunt who has the cleanest house I’ve ever seen swears by these)
Favorite Cleaning Essentials: Kitchen
- Coffee and Kettle Descaler (have and love)
- Dish Brushes (soft enough to use on our nonstick pans)
- Finish Dishwasher Cleaner (in our quarterly cleaning kit)
- Dishcloths (helped us cut down on our paper towel consumption)
Cleaning Essentials: Bathrooms
- Detail Cleaning Brush (have and love)
- Handheld Scrubber ( or this one is currently on my wish list to help make cleaning the tub a lot easier)
- Toilet Brush Holder (have and love)
- Toilet Bowl Pumice Stone (great for hard water rings)
Favorite Cleaning Essentials: Vacuums and Mops
- Dust Buster (have and love)
- Dyson v15 Detect Cordless Vacuum Cleaner (I couldn’t find an Amazon link for the v15 Detect Extra we use but wanted to share this similar link so you could see the attachments. Ours came with 10 attachements and my only regret is not getting one sooner. Also, we use this exact docking station to keep everything organized.)
- Little Green Machine (currently waiting for this to go on sale again, muddy paws are no joke)
- Steam Mop (have and love. The only drawback is that it has a cord)
For Pets…
- Stain and Odor Eliminator (we use at home and take with us when we travel as well)
- Chom-Chom (great for travel too)
- Carpet Cleaner (our old Hoover died last year so we’re trying to decide between the little green machine and this heavy duty upright)
- Pet Wipes (currently in my cart – great to keep by the front door and for travel too)
Natural Cleaning Essentials We Love…
- Book (so many easy-to-follow recipes)
- Glass Spray Bottles (we have clear ones similar to these and love them)
- Essential Oil Set (a great place to start if you’re new to cleaning with essential oils)
- E-Cloth (so many people rave about these)

I use microfiber clothes too. They’re tge best when cleaning.

These products look great. I bought some of the Pink Stuff a while back and completely forgot about it until seeing this post. I’ll have to try it out!
Can I tell you how much use our Bissell little green machine gets? The last one I purchased lasted for more than 10 years. We recently had to buy a new one. I don’t think we could survive without it. (one word: dogs). Also, I love that you included micro-fiber cloths. Those are also on heavy rotation in our home. Thank you for sharing your favorite cleaning essentials with us!
