We’re sharing our top blog posts of the year today!

Every December we deep dive into our analytics to find out which posts are your favorite.

Most of the time I am blown away by the posts you enjoy most because it’s usually not the posts I thought would be the most popular.

Still, it’s a great tool to help us plan more of what you love and it’s always fun to revisit our top blog posts of the year.

Some of our posts from recent years have gone viral and are still trending.

So, the ten posts I’m sharing today are either original posts or posts that were completely reworked and updated this year.

As always, I excluded all the From the Front Porch posts that ranked in the top ten to get a realistic view of what you loved most.

#10 – 7 Tips for a Successful Week

Of all the posts on the list, I have to say this one shocked me the most!

The pictures were not my best.

But the information was too good to let my perfectionism over the photos keep me from pressing publish.

Making a concerted effort to keep Sundays Sacred has changed everything for us.

#9 – Christmas to Winter Decorating Ideas

If you’ve ever had the “holiday blues” after taking your decorations down, this post is for you.

I love a clean slate so normally I’m happy to pack up anything related to Christmas.

But after talking to my mom and aunts about how much they missed the twinkling lights from the Christmas tree, I challenged myself to create a cozy winter home.

#8 – How to Clean Vintage Pillowcases

I love to treasure hunt with my mom. So, it’s not surprising this made the top blog posts of the year list.

I’ve lost count of how many times we’ve dug through dusty boxes of tablecloths, napkins, and delicate pillowcases then had to find a way to save them from stains once we got home.

This technique is really simple. Especially, on smaller pieces and we’ve continued to use it throughout the year.

#7 – Country French Fall Porch Tour

Our front porch is one of my favorite places to decorate and fall is hand down my favorite season. So, I am tickled pink to see our Fall Porch Tour make the list again this year.

While I miss our vintage wicker furniture, I can honestly say we’ve used our porch more than ever before thanks to a furniture upgrade.

I’m out here rocking in the rocking chairs every day.

#6 – A Birthday Celebration in Savannah

It was so much fun to celebrate my Mom’s 70th birthday in Savannah and it warms my heart to think you were celebrating right along with us.

We ate amazing food, had lots of fun shopping and sightseeing, and came home with milestone memories I’ll never forget.

#5 – The Art of Showing Up

Truth be told, I’m NEVER sure how the Encouragement of the Month post is going to be received.

They are hands down THE hardest posts to write because they require a level of vulnerability I have to prepare myself for.

Having said that, I’m beyond grateful to see them make the top blog posts of the year list because my hope is you feel encouraged, uplifted, and seen any time you visit our site.

#4 – The Blessing I Almost Missed

I was really close to not writing this post because it felt too raw to share. S encouraged me to share it though and I’m thankful she did.

It was without a doubt a turning point in my anxiety disorder, and while scary, will go down as one of my favorite moments of the entire year.

#3 – The Best White Spray Paint and Wax Combinations

Like many of you, we’ve completed most of the DIY projects we plan to do at our home, Journey End.

Honestly, it’s a tough place to be as a home décor and DIY blogger.

I love quick and easy updates though and I’m finding so many of you feel the same way.

Paint will always be one of the most budget-friendly things you can do to change any space or home décor accent. So, it was fun to share my favorite white spray paints with you and to see it make the top blog post of the year list.

#2 – Decorating the Tops of Kitchen Cabinets

This one was another total shock!

I used to be embarrassed our kitchen cabinets didn’t reach all the way to the ceiling. But now I realize what a blessing it is.

We live in an open-concept home which means there are very few walls or opportunities outside of large pieces of furniture to decorate.

#1 – 10 Citrus Simmer Pot Ideas

While I love candles, there are certain months of the year we’re not able to use them due to allergies.

Even though we regularly use a diffuser and essential oils, there’s just something about old fashion simmer pots that feel warm and inviting.
