DIY Blind Date with a Book Gift Idea
We’re sharing a DIY Blind Date with a Book Gift Idea today!
When it comes to gifting, sometimes you need an idea that’s thoughtful yet is also quick and easy.
Especially if you need something at the last minute.
While I appreciate the convenience of shopping online, I also make a concerted effort to shop small whenever we’re on vacation or are exploring cozy cottage towns.

On a recent trip, my Mom and I wandered into the cutest little bookstore called The Book Loft.
The vibe was straight of the movie, “You’ve Got Mail,” and honestly, I could have stayed in there for hours.

After buying a book we made our way to the door where a curated display immediately caught my eye.
The sign read, “Blind Date with a Book.”

While the concept is new to me, it must be a popular one already because a few stops later, I saw a similar display in antique store.

Anyway, I thought the idea would be a fun one for Galentine’s or Valentine’s Day gifts.
Honestly, you could use it for any holiday from birthdays to Christmas.
If you have littles that love to read, I think they would enjoy this gift idea too!

In addition, you can wrap your book without folds.

Then create a pocket with seasonal shapes using scrapbook paper, foam or felt and secure it in place on the outside.

Just be sure the pocket is big enough and secure enough for book inspired embellishments, stickers or small gifts and a description of the blind date book.

Remember to include a gift tag.
On one side, you’ll write Blind Date with a Book.
On the other, you’ll write a short description of the book.

Once you’ve added the embellishments to the pocket, it’s time to gift!

You can give the DIY blind date with a book alone or include it in a seasonally inspired gift basket or a get well soon basket.
Honestly, the sky’s the limit when it comes to quick and easy gift ideas like this one.
This idea would also be fun as part of a festive tablescape for a book club inspired dinner too!
