From the Front Porch

Happy Thursday from the front porch, sweet friends.

Thanks so much for being here and spending time with us today.

If you haven’t had a chance to read our Autumn Home Tour post yet, you might not know we’ve had so much rain lately, we were recently stranded on the island for a few days because of coastal flooding.

Thankfully, we picked up groceries and gassed up the car after returning home from the mountains so we had plenty of supplies.

There are a lot of things to clean up around our property and the yard is a total mess because there is still so much standing water.

We know it could have been a lot worse though so we’re thankful for all the answered prayers.

I’m hoping we’ll have sunshine and clear skies over the weekend so we can start drying out and planning the clean up process.

Whatever you have planned, I hope it’s peace filled and productive.

For those of you in Texas, Coastal Georgia and the Carolinas who have also dealt with flooding lately, I’ll be keeping you in my prayers.

A Few of Our Favorite Things From Around the Web This Week…

Beautiful Home and Garden Tours:

  • I was searching for some inspiration online this week and found this modern tudor house tour from Bria Hammel. Here’s Part One (don’t miss the office, that gorgeous wallpaper, right?) and here’s Part Two in case you missed it.
  • This Colorado Chateau on 55 acres by designer Lindye Galloway is really beautiful as well. I love all the layers of perfectly cozy texture and warmth.
  • If you love spaces filled with classic Southern elegance, you’ll adore a Gentleman’s House by Melanie Davis Design.
  • I’ve been helping my Mom prep for a room refresh as a surprise for a loved one and we’ve found lots of inspiration in this character filled post via AD, This 760 Square Foot Apartment Is a Master Class in Organization.

Seasonal Inspiration:

  • Julie Blanner shared a gorgeous blue and white Kalamkari block print table setting and I love her nontraditional take on Fall.
  • Speaking of which, Bre from Rooms for Rent shared a creative way to decorate a “mantel” for Fall.
  • Donna from An Organized Season has been crafting the cutest Halloween things lately. I love the ghost she just made for her front porch!
  • Kim from Shiplap and Shells constantly blows me away with her beautiful blooms and her Fall garden is no exception.
  • Finally, did you catch Rachel’s book page leaf garland on our home tour Wednesday? It’s fabulous!
